Easter Seals Project ACTION provides technical assistance to the disability community, transportation industry, government, human service agencies, advocacy and professional organizations and others on the full range of issues associated with the provision of accessible transportation for people with disabilities of any age. Technical assistance is available through an array of avenues, including:

• Operation of a Store, which offers free print, video, audio, and multimedia products addressing all aspects of accessible transportation.
  

• Technical assistance Web pages, offering a "virtual library" of links to resources

NEW! Community curriculum, Getting There Together: Supporting Accessible Sustainable Transportation in Our Community, a two-hour training activity designed to teach members of the general public how to work together to support accessible sustainable transportation (i.e., public transportation) in their community.

• Operating the Easter Seals Project ACTION 800 line, a national toll-free information line. Information and resources are available Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (EST) at (800) 659-6428 (voice). Additional contact choices, including TTY and email, are available through the "contact us" page. The Easter Seals Project ACTION staff can answer questions about ADA rights and responsibilities, direct callers to additional resources, and help members of the disability and transportation communities address diverse accessibility issues.  
  

• Fostering local community planning efforts through our Mobility Planning Services Institute (MPS).
  

• Developing curricula and providing training for "bus familiarization" personnel and other trainers throughout the United States through our People on the Move program.
  

• Hosting distance-learning opportunities, a series of free audio conferences with guest speakers.
  

• Funding research and development projects, many of which result in the creation of new materials available at no charge through Easter Seals Project ACTION's Store.
  

• Highlighting best practices and sharing accessible transportation news through our print and electronic newsletters.
